NGX Esport Tour
// 001 — Context
A local esports circuit punching above its weight.
The NGX Esport Tour is a competitive esports circuit created for the Nantes Game Xperience festival, organized by the association La Boîte à Pixels in partnership with Beatby44. The first edition ran over one year across 6 stages spaced two months apart, with online and on-site (LAN) events at Palace in Nantes.
For the second edition, the format shifted to LAN-only — keeping Super Smash Bros Ultimate and adding Street Fighter V — welcoming 150+ players every two months.
// 002 — What I did
Ran the brackets. Then ran the whole thing.
Tournament admin — Edition 1
Managed the League of Legends bracket on Toornament: registrations, pool building, player relations, Discord moderation. The bracket ran clean.
Project manager — Edition 2
Redesigned the game formats with Beatby44 to scale for more players. Managed partnerships (venue, catering, prizes). Built the full comms plan across social media, blog, and press. Full ownership, first time.
On-site operations
Ran the day-of logistics: player check-in, catering, live communications. 150+ players showing up every two months. Everything worked.
// 003 — Results

// What I took from this
One edition as admin. One as project manager. You figure out fast which one is harder — and why it matters more.
